Flight Following : An exercise in Aeronautical Decision Making
(Replacement for IMC Club)
The program is very similar to the last AOPA seminar at Dodge Center that used the Pilot Workshops VFR mastery series. The advantage with this is it provides a CFI answer to help with liability.
If you are on the EAA Chapter 100 email list you will receive emails saying if there will be a monthly meeting. We plan to make these meetings similar to IMC Club meetings but use them to discuss both VFR and IFR ADM (Aeronautical Decision Making) Practices.
Meetings might be hit or miss but we will try to continue to have meetings on the second Wednesday of each month. If in doubt or to be added to this email list please send an email to President@EAA100.org.
What do we hope to accomplish at these Meetings?
It's about 15-25 pilots sitting around discussing our aeronautical decision making opinions about how we might handle challenging situations. The idea is to gain knowledge from others by talking about potential piloting ADM situations and listening to ideas of fellow aviators. The intent is to create a community of pilots willing to share information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety, and build piloting proficiency. We offer meetings in which pilots can network and share knowledge and experiences.
Pilot Workshops was contacted and asked if they had any concerns with using a scenario each month for group discussions. They responded that they support this use as long as we indicate the source of the material and only use one scenario a month.
Local guests speaker presentations of real flight scenarios will also be used.

- Meetings should not last more than 1 hour.

You may have to park on the street if there is a dance class starting or finishing. Lots of parents dropping off and picking up their son's and daughter's.
